Last week, I had the opportunity to be at the heart of the #nbaallstar2024 working with the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Indiana Sports Corp!
My week began as a stand-in with the NBA at Lucas Oil Stadium where I assisted the production team with testing their equipment before the event. I had the chance to witness the behind-the-scenes for putting on a show of this magnitude and even got to step onto the brand-new LED court!
For the next three days (13 hours a day), my role expanded to a production assistant with the NBA’s live productions and entertainment team. I helped support the production crew by running errands, organizing the different giveaway promotions, and even watching over the All-Star trophies for each event. I am grateful to Tyler Vona, Carson Earnest, and the entire LP&E crew for welcoming me to the team and fostering such a supportive environment!
I wrapped up my weekend by volunteering as an ambassador with the Indy Sports Corp. on the NBA Street Team. My role was centered around fan engagement as I worked as an on-site civic volunteer welcoming and assisting visiting fans, media, and NBA officials. I wanted to thank the Butler University College of Communication and one of the most passionate and enthusiastic professors, Bob Schultz, for helping cap off an incredible week!
